Trying To Find a Balance

I remember Beyonce from the very first Destiny’s Child video.  It was No No No, the slow version, and she was in a red dress with really dark hair and red lipstick.  I instantly liked her.  A few of my female friends would talk bad about her as she rose in popularity, especially in the Say My Name era after two of the singers were kicked out the group, but I stuck with her. 

After she went solo for the first time things got even more deep.  When I saw her on the BET Awards performing Crazy In Love I pretty much fell in love.  Watch for yourself:

I’ve been a big fan ever since, it’s her unreleased tracks that I like the most.  Take a listen to Kick Him Out, if you really let yourself listen to it I bet you will like it…

Skip to now and imagine what I think of the photo from Elle Magazine at the beginning of this post.  I love edgy fashion photography, with dramatic makeup, expensive clothes, and heavy concept.  The eyes and the outfit got me.  Catch the neutral lipstick and the black fingernail polish.  She is what some of us call “giving it”. J’Adore!
